My name is Charlotte and I am a fifteen year old blogger. I am rediscovering my happiness and appreciating life whilst I am learning to live well with social anxiety disorder, depression and selective mutism. I understand how it feels to not want to live any longer and I know how it feels to just want to be free from your own mind. One day you'll get to where you want to be, it takes time and I am sure that you are aware of that. I like to write a blog to distract myself from my own mind and also give you something to read to distract yourself. I am hoping that this helps somebody, even just a little bit, and even just to help you through a single day.
I hope that you are able to rediscover your happiness one day too - you deserve that! :)
Just because you are struggling, it does not mean you are failing. Every great success requires some kind of struggle to get there.
As you may or may not know, I have a twin sister who also struggles with mental illness; mainly anorexia nervosa and depression. She is an abuse survivor and remains strong to this day despite the daily struggles that she has to face as a result of her mental illness and the trauma; I couldn't be any prouder of her! I'd like to welcome her to my blog as she is going to contribute and post some amazing pieces of writing for me so that means all the more for you to read! It also means that a wider range of subjects can be covered, so it will help more of you to rediscover your happiness.
